Sustainable travel
In October 2023, UL President Professor Kerstin Mey launched a new bike rental scheme, in a bid to encourage more students to use sustainable and active travel when travelling to and from campus.
Today’s image is taken from the Armstrong Collection, showing a group of avid cyclists from the turn of the 20th century – though we would always recommend a helmet, and less petticoats, for the journey to UL!
