Sustainability in the reading room
As much as possible, the Special Collections and Archives Department provides low resolution digital copies of archival and other rare material on request for private research and study. This has two major advantages for sustainability: firstly, for the long-term preservation of the material as handling is reduced; and secondly, for the environment as digital copies replace the need for photocopying.
