Some of the books in the Bolton Library were conserved in the last 30 years. John Gillis from Trinity College Dublin Library worked on this volume of Holinshed in 1987. We can see an itemised conservation note with the book, which details the treatment of the item. The book was in a particularly bad state and received a new tan calf binding.
